Nature Walks
Public nature walks are available throughout the year. Learn about Jekyll's coastal ecosystems. Join one of our guides on a walk through the beach, forest or marsh. Call Tidelands at (912) 635-5032 for more information.
Nature Walks
Join an experienced guide for a 1 1/2 - 2 hour walk through the beaches, maritime forests and salt marshes of Jekyll Island.
Mondays - North Tip and Driftwood Beach
Walk begins along the marsh at Clam Creek and ends at the famous Driftwood Beach, offering many possibilities for photographers.
Meets at the Clam Creek Picnic Area parking lot on the north end of island (beside the fishing pier), across from the campground. (Year-round)
Wednesdays - South Tip and Beach Creek
Walk begins in the maritime forest and explores the south tip beach, including a stop at the newly constructed wildlife observation tower for a view of the marshes of Beach Creek. A great area for birds.
Meets at the St. Andrews Picnic Area parking lot on the south end of the island, beside "The Wanderer" sculptures (Year-round)
Fridays - South Dunes Picnic Area
Walk follows the dune boardwalk to the beach, perfect for beachcombers.
Meets at South Dunes
Picnic Area parking lot, immediately south of the Hampton Inn and Suites. (March - September only)
All walks begin at 9:00 am. You will meet your guide at the location for that day.

Landscape Walks
Live Oaks And More! Learn about the majestic live oaks and beautiful flowers that make up the historic landscape design of the Jekyll Island Club era.
Landscape Walks meet on Thursday at 9:00 am (March-September only). Your guide will meet you at Faith Chapel in the Historic District.
Landscape Walk Cost
Adults: $5.00
Ages 8-18: $3.00
$25.00 max per family
No reservations are required for our nature walks or landscape walks, but please call ahead if you expect to bring a group of 10 or more.
